Raped by an upperclassman in her high school. Kidder had a crush on the boy and sneaked out of her house late at night after her parents had fallen asleep to meet him at a neighborhood school playground, where he then sexually assaulted her. Kidder created the website Escaping Hades as part of her healing process, and plans to attend law school. She appeared in Teen People magazine in an article on statutory rape, and volunteers for numerous sexual abuse programs.
